Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 4-5 dried red chilies
- 8-10 peppercorns
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 medium-sized onions, sliced
- 5-6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch ginger, minced
- 3 medium-sized tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves for garnish
How to Make Kori Gassi:
In a pan, dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, dried red chilies, peppercorns, until fragrant. Grind to a fine powder.
In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until brown.
Add minced garlic and ginger, cook for another minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
Add the ground spice powder, turmeric, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add chicken pieces and cook until they turn brown on all sides.
Add 1 cup of coconut milk, salt, and bring the mixture to a boil.
